He holds a Master of Science degree from Harvard University and a PhD from the University of Oxford in the field of skin cancer, where he researched how damage caused by UV radiation underlies both premature skin ageing and skin cancer, which led him to focus on the use of topical antioxidants as the cornerstone of his formulas.
