Base: A completely natural, plant-derived gel complex with multiple lamellar structure that mimics the skin’s natural lipids (lipid bilayer). Provides intense moisture to the skin, enhances skin barrier function and acts as a ‘second skin’.
Melatonin: A modulator of the circadian rhythm that plays an important role in the process of skin repair and renewal. Demonstrates excellent antioxidant activity and provides anti-inflammatory support.
Vitamin B12 (Cyanocobalamin): A synthetic form of vitamin B12. Plays an important role in energy production, cell metabolism and DNA repair. The latest research findings show that vitamin B12 enhances the activity of melatonin.
Glutamylamidoethyl Imidazole: A chronopeptide that mimics sun exposure activation of the circadian genes. Helps to resynchronise circadian rhythm, optimise vitamin D activity and enhance natural skin defences. Promotes skin renewal and reduces the appearance of wrinkles.
Acetyl Tetrapeptide-2: A peptide composed of 4 amino acids. Enhances the expression of genes involved in the organization of elastic fibres and dermal cohesion.
Hexapeptide-3: A peptide composed of 6 amino acids. Enhances dermal repair and regeneration.
Glycosaminoglycans: Polysaccharides naturally present in the skin as major components of the extracellular matrix. Exhibit excellent moisturizing and skin regenerating properties. Supports the collagen network by inhibiting matrix metalloproteinase (MMP), enzymes responsible for collagen degradation. Dimethicone: A synthetic polymer molecule with excellent emollient, conditioning and skin protecting properties. Fills in fine lines and wrinkles and gives the skin a plumper look.
Irish moss (Chondrus crispus): An extract from red algae (seaweed) rich in polysaccharide carrageenan. Possesses excellent water binding, moisturising, film-forming, soothing and antioxidant properties.
Ornithine: An amino acid encapsulated in ionosomes. By activation or up regulation of the transcription factor HIF-1 (Hypoxia Inducible Factor), ornithine restores fatty tissue volume and exhibits a lipofilling-like effect.
Proline: An amino acid used as a building block in the production of proteins. Increases collagen production, improves skin elasticity and promotes skin repair and regeneration.
Sodium PCA: A sodium salt of PCA (pyroglutamic acid), a naturally occurring component of human skin and a part of NMF (natural moisturising factors). Used as humectants due to excellent moisturising, conditioning and water-absorbing properties.
Beta-Glucan: A yeast-derived polysaccharide with multiple actions: antioxidant, anti-inflammatory and skin-soothing. Enhances natural defence mechanisms, boosts cellular respiration and promotes natural repair process and wound healing.
