- Direction to use:
- Apply liberally to the face and décolleté, in sufficient quantity, before each exposure to the sun. Reapply frequently, every 2 hours, to maintain the protection, especially after swimming.
Base: A fluid emulsion derived from completely natural renewable plant materials with excellent moisturising properties.
Shiso (Perilla frutescens): Shiso, also known as Japanese mint, is a plant rich in polyphenols (particularly rosmarinic acid) and triterpenoids (particularly ursolic acid). Zelens uses an extract obtained from shiso leaf which demonstrates excellent antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, anti-bacterial and anti-allergic properties. Shiso leaf has been used for years in Kampo medicine due to its strong detox properties and ability to prevent skin reactivity and soothe sensitive skin.
Botanical blend: A blend of liposome-encapsulated plants: Green tea (Camellia sinensis), Gotu kola (Centella asiatica), Acerola (Malpighia glabra), Ginkgo (Ginkgo biloba), Pomegrante (Punica granatum) and Maritime pine (Pinus pinaster). Demonstrates antioxidant, anti-inflammatory and soothing properties.
Proline: An amino-acid used as a building block in the production of proteins. Increases collagen production, improves skin elasticity and promotes skin repair and regeneration.
Adenosine triphosphate (ATP): A major source of intracellular energy. Promotes natural skin repair to help reduce visible signs of ageing.
Vegetable protein: A plant-derived protein with moisturising and skin-conditioning properties. Enhances collagen production and promotes skin firmness and elasticity.
Acetyl tyrosine: An acetylated form of non-essential amino-acid L-Tyrosine. Shows skin-conditioning properties.
Lecithin: A vegetable-based phosphatidylcholine, a natural part of all cell membranes. Shows emollient, moisturising and smoothing properties.
Vitamin E Acetate (Tocopheryl Acetate): An acetic acid ester of Vitamin E. Acts as a strong antioxidant, enhances moisturisation and strengthens the skin barrier.
Glycerin: A vegetable-derived molecule naturally present in the skin. Acts an excellent humectant, a substance that attracts moisture from the environment and increases the amount of water in the surface layers of the skin.
